Welcome to the website of the Quantum Randomness Group at the University of Cologne. We are interested in a wide range of topics in quantum information and quantum computing connected to understanding the power and limitations of near-term quantum devices. As a major tool, we are using random quantum circuits to better understand the generic expressitivity of short quantum circuits. We are combining these insights with tensor networks to make existing approaches more efficient and scalable. For more details on my research, click here.
